Cross-Country Skiing

Downhill isn't the only way to ski in Park City: in addition to the resorts, visitors can try a day of guided or solo cross-country skiing at one of the area's Nordic-dedicated options.  With these, you can enjoy the same amazing mountain scenery while getting exercise in a low-impact fashion.

Guests looking for cross-country skiing in Park City may do best to start at the White Pine Touring ski center--not least because it's located less than a mile away, easily within walking distance of the Lowell.  Here you can find three loops ranging from 3 to 10km in length, each with different difficulties and possible add-on routes to match your skill level.  You can even bring your dog for a run on the Pet Loop!  Naturally, White Pine Touring also offers guided tours and lessons.

Go deeper into the woods at the pace you desire on a tour with All Seasons Adventures. These custom tours are made to fit your preferences, and the guides can also help improve your skiing technique.  All the equipment you'll need is included, along with snacks and water.  Please note that All Seasons Adventures has a 2-person minimum on these tours.

Some other cross-country skiing options slightly farther from the Lowell (but still within an hour's drive) include the Soldier Hollow Cross Country Ski Resort, Nordic paths from the Mountain Trails Foundation and the Snyderville Basin Recreation District, which has flat terrain ideal for beginners.

No matter where you go, it's easy to have a day of Park City cross-country skiing during your stay with The Lowell! Be sure to check out other activities near The Lowell as you plan your stay.
