Epic Pass season pass holders enjoy Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons at Park City as part of their Epic Pass due to the acquisition of these mountains by Vail Resorts in late 2014. Since combining the two resorts during the 2015-2016 ski season Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in North America. Vail Resorts was able to do this by combining the current terrain at Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons at Park City. Both resorts have always offered great terrain for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons at Park City were both world class ski-resorts on their own, but together they create a world-class US ski destination featuring manicured groomers, powder filled bowls, and progressive terrain parks and half pipes. Guests will be able to have access to both areas of the resort by taking the Interconnect Gondola. This new addition is a high speed ride that carries up to eight passengers in each gondola. It will run from the base of Silverlode Lift at Park City to The Canyon's Flatiron Lift. Depending on snow conditions on the mountain guests can depart the new lift at Pine Cone Ridge and ski to Park City's Thaynes Canyon trail.

In addition, to this new high speed gondola connecting the resort bases together upgrades can be expected throughout this large resort. Both the King Con and Motherlode Lifts are expected to undergo upgrades and improvements, increasing capacity on both of these lifts allowing less time in lift lines. Guests of the newly expanded resort can also look forward to a new Snow Hut Restaurant that will be located next to the base of Park City's Silverload Lift. Expect further improvements to be announced that include increases to the size of runs, improvements to other chair lifts and expanded options when it comes to your experience at Park City Mountain Resort.
