Planning a weekend surprise trip to Utah for your sweetheart and need ideas of romantic things to do in Park City? Take a few ideas from our romantic Park City itinerary to begin planning your dreamy getaway!
Arrive in Park City and check into your hotel room or suite. Enjoy some quiet time to relax and check out the luxurious amenities of your room before getting ready for dinner and drinks out on the town.
Once you’re dressed for your date, you’re off for a delicious dinner at Prime Steak House & Piano Bar, located on Historic Main Street right across from the town lift. The two of you will be delighted with the tender and flavorful steaks, assortment of side dishes, and of course a decadent dessert menu.
On your first full day in town, take a scenic gondola ride for unparalleled panoramic views of the area.
After getting your bearings of the mountains and surrounding region, it’s time to put on your hiking boots and explore the area by foot (or on skis during the winter season). There are many excellent hiking trails open in the summer with a variety of terrain and all have beautiful views. Stop for lunch on the mountain and experience authentic Park City cuisine.
That evening, the two of you are going on a culinary adventure through Park City on a food tour! Most tours begin at 4 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. and visit several Park City restaurants. Though, Park City Food Tours does offer a hike & lunch tour that starts at 8:30 a.m. with a two-hour nature hike and then lunch at Silver Star Café. If you’d prefer to have a more traditional dinner but still learn more about food and wine of our region, a Utah Wine Tour is another excellent option. Don’t let the name fool you, they also offer beer and whiskey tours.
In the afternoon, you’ll settle into your saddle and experience some Western fun in Utah with a horseback riding adventure. You’ll ride past lakes and meadows filled with wildflowers and might even spot some elk or moose during your ride. During the winter, a horseback excursion can be easily swapped with a horse-drawn sleigh ride!
Tonight, you’re off to enjoy the flavors of the Southwest at Chimayo! Locals love their margaritas and you can’t go wrong with ending dinner with their Mexican Chocolate Fondue for two.
Sunday can either be a lazy morning spent together enjoying a fantastic brunch at Riverhorse on Main or you can be up bright an early for your tee time at one of Park City’s golf courses! Or, you can always start with brunch and then move on to a shorter game by playing the 18-hole miniature golf course at the base of the resort.
After a morning on the green, work out your sore muscles with a couples massage at one of Park City’s finest spas. From signature treatments to deep tissue work, you’ll feel relaxed and rejuvenated as you and your partner are pampered in a stunning mountain setting.
Before your last dinner on your romantic weekend, take a stroll through town and pop into the impressive art galleries. If you and your partner are more hands-on when it comes to art, let out your artistic talents at The Paint Mixer! With classes scheduled throughout the day on a variety of themes, you and your loved one will be able to create your masterpieces and craft a unique memento of your Park City getaway!
End your weekend with dinner reservations at Oishi Sushi Bar & Grill. Dine on fresh sashimi and traditional rolls at this Park City favorite!
