Hiking

McLeod Creek Trail

Spanning all the way from Park City to Kimball Junction, the McLeod Creek Trail is a paved and small-gravel path that visitors can bike the entire length or walk smaller sections of its path. Park at the Farm Trailhead and explore the area around McPolin Barn or stop and play at one of the two parks in the area, Matt Knoop Memorial Park or Willow Creek Park.

Iron Canyon Trail

Head up Iron Canyon Trail for views of aspen and pine groves that offer vibrant yellow and green colorings. Once at the top visitors will be met with sweeping views of the colorful ski slopes of Park City Mountain Resort. This short but steep hike is 2.25 miles round trip.

Fantasy Ridge

This not so easy hike is easy on the eyes. Hike the challenging route up to the 9,990-foot summit for sweeping views of Park City and colorful specks of fall across the landscape.

Scenic Drive

Hop in your car and discover expansive landscapes rich in the season’s color.

Guardsman Pass

Guardsman Pass is one of the most popular scenic routes near Park City and is flooded with fall colors of red oaks and yellow aspens along the mountainside. There are many scenic turn-outs along the way to stop and take pictures. Or if you choose to do a short hike during the drive then check out Clayton Peak. This moderate trail is 2.5 miles out and back and offers beautiful 360-views of the area. The entire pass takes roughly one hour (one way) to complete.

Alpine Loop Scenic Byway

This 27-mile road journeys through colorful mountain landscapes with notable sites along the way such as Mount Timpanogos and Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort.
